We Need Your Help at the Rocky Mountain Championship

The 19^th Annual Rocky Mountain Championship is fast approaching! This world class competition and national qualifier will host competitors from all over the nation, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.

In order to prepare ourselves for this event, IMA is depending once again on all of its members to help with set up and break down of over 500 pieces of mats, 70 chairs, tables, supplies etc. Please find the schedule below.

We also encourage all of our members to sign up at the dojo reception desk to help out in any capacity throughout the tournament.

Load the truck at the dojo

Saturday, May 3^rd 2:15 PM Start time
Unload the truck and set up at Monarch High School

Sunday, May 4th, 4:00 PM Start time
Load the truck at Monarch High School

Unload the truck at the dojo around 6:30 PM

Competition Team Fundraiser Results – Over $2,000!

Scorekeeping Seminar, Saturday April 12th from 12:30 to 2:30

Would you like to have a better understanding of how to read the flags and hand signals from the judges and referees at tournaments?

Thinking about volunteering as a scorekeeper during our Rocky Mountain Championship in May, but would feel more comfortable with some training first?

Our scorekeeping seminar will be held on Saturday, April 12th from 12:30 to 2:30 PM at the dojo and everyone is invited to attend!

Even if you have attended one or several before, please come and be part of it. You can help answer questions, share your experiences, and give tips and advice while brushing up on your scorekeeping skills.

Ultimately, having this knowledge will benefit your kids, as you will be able to use your understanding to help guide their preparation for competition. Most importantly though, scorekeeping is a great way to get to know fellow parents, judges, referees and students, and to help out. It is truly a bonding experience and a team effort.
