Dear IMA Family,
It’s that time of year again to prepare for our annual Rocky Mountain Championships (RMC). We are beyond grateful for all the support and to be celebrating over 30 years of running the tournament here in Louisville, Colorado. This competition will be on May 4th, the same flyer that they go home with, in addition to some special kata and kumite clinics the day before on May 3rd at the dojo!
This year the tournament is special as it is officially a USA karate sanctioned event allowing access to more training opportunities (and competition if you desire exploring these options please communicate with Sensei Kam) for those who participate. In addition, gaining a USA karate membership allows for access to special sport- insurance for the participant themselves for any injury/ PT/ or care they may need for being a student at the dojo. All referees, coaches, and hosts must be licensed through USA karate to uphold a high standard and insure a safe competition for everyone. Finally, we need help from our community to make this all happen. Volunteers for everything would be greatly appreciated for set up/ takedown. All Tournament Day table) volunteers will have the USA karate membership fees waived.
