IMA Dojo Hours for 2012 Holiday Season

A reminder to everyone that the IMA Dojo in Louisville will be closed for the holidays starting Monday, December 24th and will re-open for all classes on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Happy holidays from everyone at IMA!

IMA Holiday Party This Saturday Night, December 1st @ 6pm

Come one, come all… Join us this Saturday, December 1st, for an evening of fun and friendship (and, of course, some dancing) at IMA’s annual holiday party! Everyone is welcome to bring a dish to share; it can be a main dish, an appetizer or dessert. IMA will be providing the drinks and, as every year, Sensei Madani will be cooking a turkey! We will have entertainment from the dojo members (the talent show is always a lot of fun) and end the evening with dancing. Annual IMA Picture Day – Tuesday, November 13th

Steven Hoffer Photography will be at the dojo from 5-7pm on Tuesday November 13th to take photos of all students. In addition to being able to order individual photo packages, we will continue our tradition of having a photo collection made of all of the individual students’ photos to hang in the dojo. It takes less than 2 minutes to have your photo taken but parents and/or students must sign-up for a time slot at the front desk to reserve a time. Scorekeeping Seminar for 2012 Rocky Mountain Karate Championships

Dear IMA family, At this year’s Rocky Mountain Championship (our annual karate tournament to be held on May 6 at Monarch High School in Louisville, Colorado), we are implementing an electronic scorekeeping system for all competition rings. In order to provide all volunteers with sufficient information to help run the tournament as smoothly as possible, we are encouraging everyone who will be helping with scorekeeping duties to please come to the dojo on Saturday April, 28th at 12:00pm for a short briefing of the new system and to review the new rules related to the kumite portion of the competition. … more »

Dojo Parking Lot Safety Issues

We’d like all of our dojo members to arrive at class safely and on time. To ensure this happens, please be courteous in the parking lot and observe the following guidelines: If you are stopping by the front door to drop off a student, please pull all the way to the right next to the stairs so other cars may pass you on the left.
