February 2014 Newsletter

I am very proud to congratulate the 33 karate-ka from Colorado, Utah, New York and Missouri who tested on January 25th for Jr. black belt to sixth degree black belt. It was an awesome dan testing with a lot of hard work and a huge celebration at night. I would like to wish all of you the best of health and continued success in the future (See the pictures on the following pages). January 2014 Newsletter

Happy New Year! May we all have a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. 2013 was an excellent year for our IMA organization with several successful events and our competition team bringing home several medals from national, international and Pan American tournaments. We had a very nice turn out for our Unity Tournament and special elite training in December. Participants came from six different states: Florida, Indiana, Kansas, New York, Utah and Colorado. Volunteers needed for the Unity Tournament!

Sign up for a few hours or all day. There are volunteer opportunities on Friday night from 8 – 9 pm (13th) to set up and between 6:30 am to 2:30 pm on Saturday (14th). Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

No Classes on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28th, and Black Friday, the 29th. Classes will resume on Saturday, the 30th. Come and work off those extra pieces of pumpkin pie! Join us for Black Friday Fun Day on Friday, November 29th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This is for all IMA students and siblings (4 years old and up). Teenagers are more than welcome to join in on the fun! Drop off your children and go shopping! Organized games, skits, dancing, free play, movies, stories, snacks, drinks and tons of fun!
