I.M.A. Competition Team is heading to National Championship and Team Trials

The I.M.A. Competition Team is ready to represent I.M.A. in Fort Lauderdale after several months of extra training. Thousands of karate competitors from all over the United States will gather July 12-15 in Florida to compete in one of the most prestigious karate competitions in America. The USA Karate National Championship and Team Trials promise to bring lots of good competition in this coming weekend. IMA Karate Team Returns from 2012 Karate Junior Olympics and US Open

2012 IMA Karate Team members in Las Vegas for the US Open and Junior Olympics

The IMA Competition Team recently returned from Las Vegas, Nevada after competing in the 2012 Karate Junior Olympics and the 2012 Karate US Open. Thousands of karate competitors from all over the world were in Las Vegas from April 4 – 9 to participate in two of the most prestigious karate competitions in North America. Kamran Madani Featured in Denver Post’s Youth Excellence in Sports

Kamran Madani was featured in the Sunday, November 13th edition of the Denver Post Newspaper as the recipient of a Youth Excellence in Sports award after he won a bronze medal at the World Junior Karate Championships from Oct. 13-16 in Melaka, Malaysia. Youth Excellence in Sports honors those 17 or younger who have excelled in any athletic endeavor unaffiliated with the Colorado High School Activities Association. Pictures of the monthly winners go on display at the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame at Sports Authority Field at Mile High and get featured in a monthly article in the Denver Post. … more »

Kamran Madani wins Bronze Medal in the World Karate Competition

Kamran was one of two members of the I.M.A. Dojo Competition Team at the recent championship in Malaysia. He competed in the 14-15 years old male-under-70 Kg. Kumite (sparring) category. The other member of I.M.A. was Michael Ford who unfortunately was eliminated before the medal round. The IMA Team trained all year for this highest level international karate event. All of our athletes performed great, starting first at the nationals level in order to qualify for the US Team. IMA Karate-ka heading to Pan-American (Brazil) & World Championships (Malaysia)

As you all are aware, the IMA Competition Team did a wonderful job at the USA National Karate championship and team trails in early July. The result of hard work and dedication of our team brought victory to their competition and now Michael Ford and Kamran Madani are eligible to represent United States Karate team in the upcoming Pan American Championships to be held Sept. 1-3, 2011 in Brazil as well as the World Karate Championship in Malaysia on Oct. 13-16, 2011.
